Today, we discussed how discrimination can really affect our identities. One of the best examples that I know of showing this is the "A Class Divided" PBS documentary. In it, a third grade teacher divides her class by eye color. For one whole day, she treats blue-eyed children better than the others. Students quickly catch on to this and are affected emotionally as well as academically. It is incredible to see how the students change in just one day. After watching the video, students reflected on the video and reflected on what makes up their own identities. I have attached the video link below.
